From Burleson Police Det. Nick Grace - - - Everyone has been wonderful. That’s an admitted understatement, according to Burleson Police Det. Nick Grace. Grace was one of two detectives injured Friday, Dec. 19, as they tried to apprehend a suspect who robbed Wells Fargo Bank on Renfro Street in Burleson. The 19-year-old suspect fired on the officers as he was attempting to flee. Grace and Det. David Feucht were transported by ground ambulance to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. Grace was treated and released Dec. 19. Feucht was released today, Dec. 23, after undergoing surgery. “From my neighbors, to my department, to the City . . . I have received phone calls, text messages, well wishes, and comments on Facebook . . . it has really been wonderful,” Grace said. “I want everyone to know my family is great and I am great. I have a lot of gratitude for the people of Burleson and all of the different departments that responded.” Grace has been with the Burleson Police Department for 10 years and has 14 years of total law enforcement experience.
