(From Caroline Merrell, Director of Worship) Im sitting on my porch, enjoying the beauty of this day, watching the beautiful birds and thinking about what an amazing day Easter was. I started my Easter on Saturday, with the yearly set up and rehearsal at Stuart Auditorium. Everything went so smoothly. All the staff and volunteers in our worship team are truly amazing. The weather even cooperated in allowing us to move the drum set to the Stuart auditorium venue on an uncovered flat bed without even one drop of rain. I found myself saying Thank you all day, not only to those wonderful folks that gave so much, but to our wonderful heavenly Father that orchestrated it all. Woke up yesterday morning to beautiful sunshine, and again found myself beginning my day with gratitude as I sat on my porch, preparing for the day ahead. Easter worship was magnificent. There are not many places that different styles, different generations, different worship practices can all flourish together in a worship expression that truly represents heaven. I cannot say how proud of I am of our folks, who for this one day, laid aside their personal preferences in order to allow the Holy Spirit to work through us all in this glorious way. And they did it beautifully! God is so good. Then my day shifted to a wonderful afternoon and evening with my mother, children, grandchildren and dear friends. I am so very grateful for all of these beautiful and exquisite human beings that God has placed in my life. The Lord, our God is a good God. His goodness rains down on us without measure. All that is good, all that is beautiful and creative, all that is loving and kind comes freely towards us. Nothing separates us from the loving kindness of our magnificent God. This is the message of Easter. I love you all, my FB friends. Thank you.
