From Carolyn Hoard: The PA Legislature has been in recess for a few weeks now. Rep. Benninghoff asks that we continue to meet with our own Senators over the summer and seek their support for HB 162. Now is the time for us to re-double our efforts. If you have not already done so, please visit or call your legislator’s district office soon to let him or her know why this bill is important. If you cannot speak directly to your Senator, ask to speak with the legislative aide. Calls to the offices of the Committee members are also encouraged. Stress that HB 162 will RESTORE to PA-born adoptees a right which they had prior to 1984. A number of legislators are up for re-election in November. They will be looking for YOUR vote. Visit with them. Let them know you want THEIR vote to pass HB 162.
