From Carolyn I should really be writing this on a Spotted In Ely page. Thursday I phoned St Marys Surgery wanting an appointment either that day or Friday. I very rarely go to the doctor so when I do phone its because I need an appointment pretty soon. Best I was offered? September 19th!! OR I could either phone the next day when they release appointments for the following Monday and Tuesday. OR I could go to the surgery at 8:20in the morning and wait to see if I could get an appointment. Either way they couldnt guarantee I would get an appointment anyway! Today I started dialling at 8:25 and after 35 minutes of hitting the redial button I got an appointment with someone Ive never heard of, who wont know me from Adam (or Eve!). Let them build more and more houses in and around Ely with no thought of putting in the infrastructure to cope with all the extra bodies and Ill have to start planning my ailments a lot more efficiently. Good job Ive got nothing terminal..........oh, hang on a minute.......
