From Celeste: Another variation of an Irish joke in one of my books: My favorite Irish joke. 3 Irish brothers decide to make their way in the world. Tommy stays in Ireland, jake goes to America, and Clancy goes to Austria. That make a pact that every Wed. They will go to the pub and drink a pint to each others health. Clancy gets a job on a ranch and Wed. Night orders 3 pints. This one is to the health of my brother Tommy, and drinks it down. And this one is for my brother Jake, and finishes that one. And this is to my good fortune and bottoms up that. And so it goes for the next year. Then one Wed. Night he comes in after work and says barkeep, bring me 2 beers. The barkeep is quite distraught and as he brings the beers he says. Oh no, did something happen to one of your brothers? Not at all, says Clancy, Tommy and Jake are fine, but I gave up drinking.
