From Cheryl Huerta A true heroines legacy begins this year. Lisa Casavant passed away last October just days after having her second Eastern Massachusetts Coast to Coast Bully Walk. For those who didnt know Lisa you may be surprised to hear that in spite of the fact that she had no dogs of her own she worked tirelessly to help dogs and one of the ways she helped was by coordinating a HUGE bully walk in her home in Eastern Massachusetts as a part of the Coast to Coast Bully Walk Event/Project that I started in 2012. Lisa was a pit bull advocate in her own right and when she passed the pit bull community lost a very important ally in the work to end prejudice against pit bulls. She is missed but her legacy goes on thanks to the wonderful work of those whose lives she touched with her generosity, her love and her constant efforts on behalf of pit bulls and dogs everywhere.
