From Commissioner Fritchey of Cook County: “Unlike many - TopicsExpress

From Commissioner Fritchey of Cook County: “Unlike many surrounding counties, Cook County does not have its own animal shelter, which means local municipalities and law enforcement agencies have had to make other arrangements for stray and lost pets. What we have now is a fractured and unregulated system where owners who have lost a pet don’t know where to look, and there is absolutely no oversight of facilities that house these animals. This kind of system leads to problems like those that happened in Dolton.” We ask that you please like the release and comment on Commissioner Fritcheys FB page. https://facebook/notes/john-fritchey/fritchey-calls-for-inspector-general-investigation-of-cook-countys-animal-contro/10155132310180531 To read more about how hard it is find a lost dog Cook County, please read our 2 blogs: lostdogsillinois.org/where-oh-where-could-my-lost-dog-be-held-in-cook-county/ lostdogsillinois.org/part-2-where-oh-where-could-my-lost-dog-be-held-in-cook-county/
