From David Perdue: The most important news that has come out of the transition in recent weeks was Senator-Elect Perdues committee assignments. He received seats on Agriculture, Budget, Foreign Relations, Judiciary and Aging. Each of these committees will allow David to advance the agenda he outlined in the campaign and represent the people of Georgia. RELEASE FROM DAVID: Georgia has a long tradition of representation on the Senate Agriculture Committee. I am humbled and honored to serve in this capacity. Agriculture is a strategic industry, not only for Georgia but for our nation, and I will work to keep it growing. I want to help Georgia’s farmers continue to produce and sell Georgia grown products and ensure that we remain an agricultural leader in the future,” said Perdue. As a member of the Foreign Relations and Judiciary committees Senator-elect Perdue will help shape foreign policy and protect Georgia from the growing threats we face at home and abroad. Economic security is the foundation for a strong national security and smart foreign policy. I will work with my colleagues on the Foreign Relations and Judiciary committees to ensure that America is capable of protecting our freedoms here at home and supporting our allies around the world. By serving on the Senate Budget and Aging committees Senator-elect Perdue will help provide important oversight on the budget process and work to protect our nations seniors and future generations. Our full blown fiscal crisis is what pulled me into the Senate. I will work every day to make a difference and fight for the future of our kids and grand kids, said Perdue. I will act with urgency on the Budget Committee to tackle our nations debt crisis. I look forward to bringing my business experience to the Senate to help advance commonsense solutions, reduce our dangerous level of debt, grow our economy, and balance the budget in Washington. David is heading to Washington after the New Year to be sworn-in on January 6th. Well keep you updated as we move forward and let you know what you can do to help. Please plan for a conference call in January - I will follow up with details soon. I am staying on the campaign, so please dont hesitate to reach out to me if you need anything. We want to keep everyone in our family (each of you) engaged and bring new people into our family. I need your help to make that happen. I hope youll stay engaged with us in the months and years to come. Its going to be a fun ride. Ill be in touch after the New Year with more details and information about some exciting political events and objectives we have planned for 2015. Look forward to seeing you around Georgia soon. Please email/text/call if you need anything. Thank you for everything youve done to get us here. God Bless and Merry Christmas! Thanks,
