From Dr. Frank Sibbalds Journal, June 1876 Sunday 18th. Blowing fresh from the South. Fine day. Ther. 64 to 76. I was not able to go to church. The Pagets & Uncle Will came to dinner. Old Lady Anderson, Arthur & Joe Trent came to tea. The Old Lady remains for a few days. MONDAY 19 Fine cool day with occasional showers. Wind South. Ther. 67 in the afternoon, 55 in the morning, lower than we have had for nearly three weeks. I sharpened up the lawn mower. Rode Fan into Sutton after tea & brought back the mail. Received letter from Dr. Johnston. Wrote to Mess. Lawrance Plews & to Hugh Sibbald, Lettie & J.I.W. Cowie.
