From Edinboro APSCUF President Jean Jones: Colleagues, I am sure that you have heard the news that President Wollman has delivered a letter to me indicating the possibility of retrenchment during the 2014-2015 academic year. She has also indicated in her campus-wide emails today that she is going to do everything possible to avoid retrenchment. For now, I have no more information to share, but I will keep you posted as things unfold. I can say at this point that it is never good news to receive a letter like this, but that this year seems far different from last. For today, APSCUF and Management appear to be going to the table united in finding ways to avoid retrenchment. Over the next weeks and months, special Meet and Discuss sessions will take place at both the local and state level where we will seek a way forward, and I want you to know that APSCUF will do everything it can to preserve the jobs of our members. We will be examining all financial data and asking the hard questions. As in past years, we will fight to save every job. In solidarity, Jean
