From Elizabeth Barber: Yesterday someone tracked down my Facebook page and sent a message with a deeply personal attack. She accused me of being a wolf in sheeps clothing, having wishes and demands that are not realistic. This has gotten out of hand. Im 8 months pregnant with our third child; I have no interest in personal accusations or threats. I participated in this public conversation to share information people might not hear otherwise. As with any public organization, there are always things most dont see. I hoped to shed light on them. None of what Ive said has been gossip. Ive been in honest, regular conversation with the Board, the district office, and even the superintendent. Ive met with architects, listened to OFCC webinars, and studied reports from the past ten years of the Forest Hills facilities debate. Please accept my apology for any offense taken. My intent was never to divide, but I can see thats happened. I respect those of you who want to vote for the bond issue. To be honest, I genuinely wish I could join you in good conscience. That said: I respectfully withdraw from this public conversation. Its become too personal. I stand by the fact that anything Ive said is not wishes and demands that are not realistic and I hope thats communicated more clearly someday. May the truth prevail.
