From Environment Canada: ===================================== Snow squalls developing late this afternoon and continuing tonight. Conditions will become favourable again for snow squalls to develop in a stiff northwesterly flow of fresh cold Arctic air off of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay. Multiple narrow snow bands are forming over the lakes late this morning and as the lower wind directions become more aligned late this afternoon, the lake enhanced snow bands are expected to intensify into snow squalls and persist overnight. Snowfall amounts of 15 cm per 12 hours are quite possible in the heavier snow squalls. Indications right now suggest a single strong band may form over Central Lake Huron this evening and move inland over locales between London and Watford to Elgin County for much of tonight. Local accumulations could reach 30 cm or more. There is potential for this snow squall to shift farther east and affect the City of London as well this evening and tonight. Driving conditions will quickly deteriorate as the snow squalls develop. Motorists should be prepared for hazardous winter driving conditions with near zero visibility in bursts of heavy snow and blowing snow and quickly accumulating snow on untreated roads. The snow squalls will start to weaken and drift eastward on Thursday.
