From Gabriela Lomonaco: I remember one time when he came to spend the night at our place, he was 9 or 10. Our cat Cenizas kittens were at their cutest stage, running around and responding when summoned through our own cat-calling ways :) ... George was smitten by them, and he and I were having a conversation about (what else?) cats! So deep & profound that I cannot recall the conversation itself (ha!), because what stood out to me, was one of the sweetest images engraved in my mind ever since of him... He was lying down on the carpet watching the kittens eat when he said something about mouses, I said to him: ...you mean mice... With a (priceless) look in his eyes that totally showed the wheels turning, he realized he had fallen for that linguistical trick, and in the humblest of ways & without hesitation he acknowledged it, giving me this precious (almost grateful-like) big smile that genuinely came from that place of innocence & transparency that only a child can inhabit... I went then on with my chores and suddenly caught him in the most tender way talking to the kittens about mice and not mouses...
