Objectives Hanu Accounting Club (HAC) is a Club of Ha Noi University established on March 3rd, 2010. It is where Accounting students as well as who are interested in Accountancy jobs come together to share knowledge and experience, participate in voluntary activities and improve themselves not only in major but also soft skills. Despite being young among a lot of other universities’ accounting clubs, we have been reached a few achievements, “The Future Accountant Contest 2012”, for example. To continue the achievements of “The Future Accountant Contest 2012”, and, thanks to the sponsorship of KPMG and SunwayHANU, the supporting of specialist knowledge from VAA and the institutional sponsor of ACCA, HAC move on bringing “THE FUTURE ACCOUNTANT CONTEST 2013” to all of you. Come to the contest, you can assess your accountancy knowledge as well as English proficiency. Moreover, you will have the chance to receive valuable awards. 2. Who can be candidates? * Students in Accounting Major from all universities in Ha Noi, or * interested in Accountancy jobs 3. How to register? All students who are eligible to be our candidates can register online via register link ( bit.ly/1djypQR) posted in HAC’s facebook or Contest’s advertisement from 20/08 – 03/09/2013. 4. About contest Contest includes three rounds and all are in English. Candidates must be complete all rounds to be the winners. First round – MCQs test & interview * Complete 30 multiple choice questions in 30 minutes on September 7th, 2013 * 30 candidates have the best marks will be chosen to join a five-minute interview on September 14th, 2013. 18 candidates have the best total marks are entitled to go to next round. Second round – Case Analysis in Team * Form randomly 6 teams from 18 candidates (each contains 3 members) * Receive case study via teams’ email at 00:00 on September 18th, 2013 * 2 days to analyze the case and submit slide at 23h on September 19th, 2013 (send to the email: hac.faccontest@gmail) + 1 day to prepare your presentation * Case presentation (10 – 15 minutes each team) is on September 21st, 2013 * 3 teams will be selected to the Battle round Final round – Battle Round * Three teams will fight each other on the stage at Main Hall on September 28th, 2013 5. Prizes 1st WINNERS • VND4,500,000 in cash • 3 scholarships of 100% fee for one ACCA paper from SunwayHANU (approximate VND24,000,000)* • Internship in KPMG (for the period from January to March, 2013) 2nd WINNERS • VND3,000,000 in cash • 3 scholarships of 75% fee for one ACCA paper from SunwayHANU (approximate VND18,000,000)* • Shortlist HR interview at KPMG 3rd WINNERS • VND1,500,000 in cash • 3 scholarships of 50% fee for the first 3 subjects of FIA from SunwayHANU (approximate VND12,000,000)* • Shortlist HR interview at KPMG TOP 9 (TOP 9 will receive both scholarships: scholarship for TOP 9 and scholarship for 1st / 2nd / 3rd winners) Scholarship of 40% fee for 7 FIA papers from SunwayHANU(approximate VND63,000,000)* TOP 18 Scholarship of 30% fee for 7 FIA papers from SunwayHANU (approximate VND54,000,000)* TOP 30 Scholarship of 20% fee for 7 FIA papers from SunwayHANU (approximate VND60,000,000)* Moreover, candicates of MCQs test will receive free original ACCA registration fee in the first two years (approximate VND5,000,000) when registering FIA at SunwayHANU before October 31st, 2013.
