From IKs stubbornness, one gets the feeling that he has made up - TopicsExpress

From IKs stubbornness, one gets the feeling that he has made up his mind to go ahead no matter how many shocking accusations and allegations are slapped on him. He looks to be in the ends-justify-means mode. He seems to be willing to take on himself the blame of Establishment-man, but he is bent on removing the Nawaz empire from Pakistani politics. He believes once he removed all this mess and gave the people good governance, people will realize his good intentions and sincerity and will be thankful to him one day. And he believes Army too wants the same and will facilitate him. Given the Nawazs stinking vision, brazen nepotism and disdain to listening to wise counsel he deserves not to be in PMs chair. People at large agree that IKs cause is a good one and the sincerity or integrity of IK in this regard is not doubted by many, but disagree with his method and approach to dislodge NS. In human history, people have risen to power through such means. By doing so our Army will also reassert and reclaim their diminishing role in Pakistans foreign affairs. Now as per his understanding with them, its the Armys turn to enter into the fray openly and deliver the much awaited coup de grace. But the question is: once ousted, will NS sit silent? Given his congenital goofiness, past track record one can speculate, yes, since Army has dished him such things in the past and he will be happy to settle in London. As of the habitual turncoats in his company, the Punjabi group like, Sheikhul Islam, Chaudris of Gujrat, Sheikh Rasheed, etc they will be more interested in settling their scores with NS and less with some future role; MQM is also in tatters and once their Quaid is jailed in London they will be divided into groups and diluted. The sitting SC can be requested in the larger interest of the country to continue and help form a team of technocrats being led by Imran or someone of good repute (not necessarily me or Syed Umar Farooq) to clear the mess in 2-3 years and probably work on Presidential form of govt and then elections.. A large section of the media has already been singing in praise of IK and Army and there seems little for them to overcome. Is the plot going to succeed? Next few days will tell.. Regarding the people of Pakistan, huh! we know ourselves very well: always agreeing, practical, forgetting & forgiving, and starting to move on with whoever at the helm of affairs.. So Syed Umar Farooq start dusting off your shirwani..
