From Jan. 31, 1944 - Miss Anna Mae Fudge was in Cincinnati Tuesday where she completed her examination for entrance into the WAVES and was sworn into that branch of Naval Service. Miss Joan Bagby of Beckton and Miss Nadene Welch of Merry Oaks, entered school at the Business University in Bowling Green on Monday, January 21. Kenneth Lynn narrowly escaped losing his left eye Monday when a wire pierced the ball while he was doing some repair work at his barn.
