From Jean McGinn...10 things you may not know about me: 1. I do not have any children of my own but I truly believe that was Gods plan for me because I have been blessed with a nephew and a niece with whom I have a strong bond and share enough similarities that I could easily pass them off as my own. Jean and Jim have been generous and shared them with me! 2. I am a hopeless romantic-I believe in love at first sight, destiny, fate, serendipity, soul mates, etc. 3. My obsession with Bruce Springsteen began when I was 12 and I heard Hungry Heart for the first time. 4. I have seen Bruce in concert many, many times and I burst into tears when he first takes the stage...every...single...time. 5. I love food...everything and anything to do with food...grocery stores, cookbooks, cooking, gadgets, celebrity chefs, restaurants, etc. 6. I love Jane Austen; it is my dream to visit London, Bath and the Lake District someday. 7. Pride & Prejudice movie-2005 version-I have seen it so many times I can recite most of the dialog. Ditto for The Way We Were...my Mom and I recite scenes together which usually prompts us to watch...again...and we both sob through the end...every...single...time. 8. When my sister announced that she was pregnant the first time, I predicted, It will be a boy with blonde hair and blues eyes-he will be handsome, nice and smart...just like Robert Redford. I was right. 9. I read Gone With the Wind for the first time when I was eight years old. 10. I know every song from the movie Grease by heart...my niece and I sing them on a regular basis while my nephew begs, Please stop...
