From John Hiett What the religion neurosis has on its side is an ancient hysteresis in the social psyche, but human minds are quite flexible and adaptable, but they must overcome the grand cognitive dissonance that their neurosis has generated in their neural operating systems. It is about like trying to tell them that the letter A is not the first letter in the alphabet, and that actually the letter Z is or that the letter A does not exist, it is human created, even though they have been taught all their life that the letter A is the first letter and it exists, but it only exists in human imagination, a fish does not care what the letter A is. We are creatures of habit, more than we are creatures of change, but we have also evolved changeability into our neurology. The alphabet is a bit like a religion, it is human created, and perhaps when people start to recognize the parallels they will have an epiphany that it is all made up.
