From Johnny Dwork: MORE EXCITING NEWS: My laser harp project (laserharp.cc) is now installed at the San Jose Museum of Technical Innovation’s “REBOOT” digital music exhibition (thetech.org) that runs through mid-August. 250,000+ people are expected to play with it during this time! A deep bow of gratitude goes out to the amazing team that helped make this happen: Art Drots, Austin Trafficante, Rich Burton, Andy Tibbetts, Matt Stanbro (and Ducky). You guys are all rock stars! This crew helped redesign and rebuild almost every aspect of the instrument – which now features a 3-dimensional (8.1 sound system) mix and all new soundscapes. The opening reception was a huge success with over-the-top compliments all night long. My colleagues Moldover, Tim Thompson, and Cool-Neon Benny also have fun installations at this great show. Its like getting to experience the sound-art tours I host at Burning Man...but without having to endure all that Playa dust! Bring the kids...
