ACORN will be hosting a full-day workshop in the New Year to help the growing number of community gardeners, seed savers, and seed librarians in the Maritimes share their knowledge! Just in time for Seedy Saturday Season! Workshop will cover the fundamentals of seed saving and facilitation, as well as providing lots of time to put learning into practice! We hope youll join us for this terrific event! JANUARY 17 2015, 9 - 5, TRURO, NOVA SCOTIA. $50 or $40 for ACORN members. Registration fee includes lunch, and the Train the Trainer Toolkit created by The Bauta Family Initiative on Canadian Seed Security (value $20). See all event info here! Seedy Saturday Seed Swap in Charlottetown: February 21st, from 2-4pm at the Confederation Centre Public Library Come out and bring your saved or leftover seed to share and trade! (You dont need to package it individually - we have envelopes on hand so people can pack their own. ) Seedy Sunday Seed Exchange in Summerside: *FIRST TIME EVER!* March 8th, from 2-4pm at the Summerside Rotary Library Come out and meet your neighbors!
