From KYTC District 7: New Circle Road/KY 4 Widening & Reconstruction Project in Fayette County Versailles Road (MP 4.860) to Leestown Road (MP 7.260) Versailles Road/US 60 & New Circle Road/KY 4 Interchange (MP 4.335 to MP 4.951) LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 5, 2015) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announces that this media advisory serves as an update for blasting operations. The blasting has resumed and will continue for the next several weeks. Approximate blasting times: 9:00 a.m. & 10:00 a.m./12:00 p.m. (noon) & 1:30 p.m. o Blasting work is in effect for New Circle Road (both inner and outer loops) and Old Frankfort Pike. o The mobile operation involves approximately 15 minutes wait time for each stop. o Local law enforcement is assisting with traffic control during the operations. o A reduced speed limit of 45 MPH is in effect at all times. Motorists are advised to utilize side streets in lieu of traveling on New Circle Road to avoid delays.
