From Kenosha News Briefs: Car strikes tree, utility pole A Salem man and a Fox Lake. Ill., teenager were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries when their vehicle slid off Silver Lake Road near 279th Avenue and crashed into a tree and a utility pole at 10:47 a.m. Tuesday. According to a Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department report, Salem’s Jarett Heck, 18, was treated for a right ankle injury, while the passenger suffered a hip injury. Heck was cited for driving too fast for conditions and failure to have control after veering off a curved, snow-covered road.
