From Kim Richters fb page 5-4 Vote Rejected my Interim Tree Preservation Bylaw in Brookswood/Fernridge. Councillors Ward, Long, Fox, Dornan and Mayor Froese voted NO and against my interim bylaw to regulate, prohibit and impose requirements for tree preservation in Brookswood/Fernridge on an interim basis to provide the public with an opportunity to make submissions on a permanent tree bylaw. The four Councillors who voted YES in favour of the bylaw were Councillor Richter, Davis, Ferguson and Sparrow. Last week it was definitely Ward & Froese against for 7 - 2 vote to staff to move forward with drafting a tree prohibition bylaw. Last week Bev Dornan voted for a tree bylaw!!!! see this quote in Langley Times. It was given preliminary approval Monday with the only votes against cast by Mayor Jack Froese and Councillor Grant Ward, who had doubts about the legality of a temporary ban and wanted to have Township staff do a review first
