I suspect that there may be a brief hot spell across much of the nation in the first portion of the 11 - 15 day time frame, what with signs the #Sonoran and #Bermudan heat ridge may fuse together across the southern two-thirds of the nation. However, the passage of the storm sequence now across the northern Pacific Ocean, in conjunction with the approach of tropical waves through the Greater Antilles, would seem to imply that another weakness or trough may take shape along and to the right of the Mississippi River after July 11. #Heat and #drought are working together across much of the western U.S., and I suspect that California and the Desert Regions are in for another incredible run of fiery readings in the 110 - 125 deg F spectrum.
