From Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick: Yesterday, after much - TopicsExpress

From Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick: Yesterday, after much thought and careful consideration, I announced the members selected to serve on the fourteen committees approved by the Texas Senate. These committees will work on the critical issues that matter to Texans, such as border security, education reform, and tax relief. The streamlined committees will allow for the efficient passage of smart legislation. All members will play important roles, regardless of their positions or seniority. I have ensured that valuable institutional knowledge will be carried over into each committee. I am also proud to appoint Jane Nelson as the first woman in history to serve as Chair of the Committee on Finance during a regular legislative session. I am confident that she will do a fine job. My promise to Texas voters was that we would get the job done. Now, with these committees in place, we are more than ready to get to work. You can view all 14 Senate committees, including their chairs and vice chairs, on my website at danpatrick.org/lieutenant-governor-patrick-anno…/ Thank you for your support,
