From May 1972 to Feb 1974 Jesus Christ Superstar played at the Capitol Theatre, Sydney and then at the Palais in Melbourne.The cast featured Trevor White as Jesus, Jon English as Judas, and Michelle Fawdon (72–73) and Marcia Hines (73–74) as Mary Magdalene, Reg Livermore, John Paul Young, Stevie Wright, and Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock, who subsequently formed Air Supply.
