From Mayor Mike Olmstead...Since the early morning hours, the news was brought to my attention regarding the drinking water issue. I have been in contact with and working with administration, the fire and police chiefs, and other jurisdictions including state and federal agencies to ensure a coordinated response that will assist in meeting our citizens needs. Information has been limited and is continuously from the City of Toledo regarding the quality of our current drinking water supply. Once we have verified information, we will update the public via our city website as well as media outlets. In the meantime, you are advised to not drink the water and limit the use for bathing and irrigation. As a reminder, the Northwestern Water & Sewer District has available water at no costs at watersheds located at various locations near our city. Visit the website nwwsd.org.
