From Melinda Roberts: Thank you for helping with my kitties that need homes. Ive been reading everything thats been going on and wanted to relate my story of Robin . About a year ago my daughter was coming to visit me (I live in Warsaw) she was coming up 35 and she hit her brakes because there were two small rain soaked dogs in the road. She got out ,put them both in her car and brought them to me. I rescue stray cats, hence my situation, so I couldnt keep them. I decided to call the Gallatin County shelter. My daughter was hysterical because most shelters kill. I called,got robin on the line and even though she had worked 12 hours that day,she listened and said bring the dogs to me . This was my first visit to the shelter and although it was a dingy mess ,I could tell immediately that this woman had the back rooms clean and organized. She took the time AFTER taking care of the dogs,to talk to my daughter and assured her that the dogs would be ok. When we asked what we could do to help,donate, the ONLY thing robin asked for was, metal trash cans with lids because of all the mice, bleach and a squeegee. Also, she was without her car that rainy evening as It was being worked on and asked if I could take her home, she was going to walk!, I responded, absolutely, she was so good with the dogs and so kind to my daughter. Just this memory of mine makes me believe this woman has done nothing wrong. Thanks for listening.
