Also, we have neighborhood files of old Warwick: Hilton & east, old North NN (Center Ave. area), Morrison, Denbigh, Mulberry Island, Denbigh & Lee Hall. My Warwick/Hilton news project is ongoing & will probably take 2-3 years; I started with Hilton Village in 1918; by the 1940s, Warwick news was a full page & more. Ive only copied to 1927. The D-P actually had a Hilton/Warwick reporter, Helen Mugler. At one point, prior to 1918?, the D-P ran a Menchville column, under which Denbigh news appeared. How bucolic & provincial old Warwick must have been! I love to read about the Prohibition bootleggers & roadhouses which kept Sheriff Curtises (father & son) & their deputies busy. Incidentally, Sheriff Bickford Curtis lived in my former Parkview community in Newport District in old Warwick in the 40s-must have been a long drive up winding, Warwick Road!
