From Naomi via Janets computer…April 27th. By Janet Culwell — 1 hour ago This is my first post. Janet is being my secretary at the moment. =) Any spelling errors are her fault! =) Just got home from church at Rancho here in Temecula with Brenda and Janet. Blessed by the new study in Colossians and worshiping with fellow believers. Blessed by seeing my cousins, Eric and Julia and a few other friends - Janelle and Brandon Bailey. (Missing the fellowship of my own church family at Gateway Bible in Scotts Valley. Anxious to see you all!) Thanks to all of you for your encouraging comments and prayer for me over the past 3 months. This past Friday marked the anniversary of the accident. Thanks to Gods miraculous healing process I am progressing and doing better each day. The journey has been long and challenging but family and friends continue to support me through the rehabilitation process. Rehab is keeping me as busy, if not more busy, than a good day teaching at SVHS. They give me more homework than I give my students! If you can believe that? But it all is for a good purpose of causing my brain and body to begin rebuilding connections. Its great to be close to my family but I miss my northern Cal friends, co-workers, students and family! Fresh snow down here on the mountains so Im excited about hitting the slopes on my snowboard (wearing my helmet of course!) dont tell my therapists or Dr!!! JK---just kidding! And can you believe it - Im just an hour away from great climbing in Idyllwild and they wont let me do that either! =) All in good time. No really, it is great to be close to my folks and family. A part of my therapy is to teach a physics lesson on kinematics (study of motion) on Tuesday. It includes the launch of a gas-pressured water rocket which should prove to be fun, educational and exciting. My Speech therapist wants me to keep it simple so she can understand the lesson. =) Its really for the strengthening of my cognitive abilities to sequence a lesson. Well see if the mission is successful!? If you hear Houston we have a problem dont be alarmed its only me. Thanks again for praying - dont stop. Trusting that God is doing an amazing work in and through your lives as you seek Him and His will. We serve a mighty God and He is faithful. With love, Naomi heart
