From Nate Morabito: A wise journalist once told me if youre afraid of making people mad youre in the wrong business. We stand by both of the stories in question as fair and accurate. We reached out to the mayor both times. The first story he and his wife declined on-camera interviews, but they were quoted. The second story, we requested an interview with the mayor through a Kingsport spokesperson and he declined. Instead, the city manager talked with us.
