Moist air overspreading eastern Kansas and western Missouri Friday morning will encounter an air mass that will be at or below 32° - cold enough to support patchy freezing drizzle. Though ice accumulations will be under 0.1, it doesnt take much to result in slick traveling conditions. Side streets, bridges, overpasses, parking lots, sidewalks and on/off ramps will be most susceptible to light icing. As temperatures rise above freezing by late Friday morning, the threat of patchy freezing drizzle will end. Forecasts regarding winter weather can, and do change often!
