From OWS : #Solidarity with Palestine. We must understand what the talk about seize fire’ is really laying the foundation for. Egypt has offered terms of surrender that the Palestinian resistance is unable to accept. The Palestinian resistance’s rejection, in turn, provides cover for the massacres we will soon come to witness on a larger scale. Yes, Egypt offered a deal it knew Israel would accept and Hamas and offer resistance groups would reject. It was a performance for domestic consumption in Egypt, Israel and the West Bank, for leaders and media to talk about, an excuse to blame the victim, for the international community to be able to point to Palestinians as being the problem, causing of their own demise, and, and this is bonus: point to Hamas as Islamists, lovers of death, full of Jewish hate, irrational people who are fine to kill because their lives are worthless. What about the people? The occupation? The calculated starvation. The trampling of dignity in everything Israel has does. What about dividing the people between the West Bank and Gaza, and within Gaza into disconnected towns by Jewish only colonies. We must fear for the people in Gaza who are still alive. We must be concerned that though people have been moved by the suffering, they still do not fully appreciate what’s happening and its magnitude? This is another nail in the coffin of the Palestinian struggle for self-determination and freedom. Even (the idiot, defeated person or traitor, hard to tell what he is) Mahmoud Abbas welcomed the Egyptian proposal as an end to the blood shed, when (1) the siege on Gaza would remain in tact, (2) the Palestinians Israel re-arrested in violation of the prisoner exchange remain in prison, (3) fisherman are not allowed to fish, (4) Israel can continue to kill non-civilians if deems they pose a threat, and the list goes on and on. Terms of surrender. Why is surrender at this juncture so dangerous? Because Israel’s intends either to beat Gaza and the resistance into submission so they can function like the PA but in Gaza, or pave the way for Israel’s entry into Gaza to destroy the resistance, kill as many people as possible, make the price in life so unbearable, that people would wish it would end. Egypt has provided cover for genocide. This is how genocides happen. You blames the victim for the necessity to kill them. This is a war on the Palestinian people in which Arab countries, including the counter-revolutionary neoliberal Palestinian Authority and the international community, are paving the way for death and destruction, way beyond what we have seen Us, being in the streets, doing more, we bring the one-sided war home. It’s not much, but it does alter the math, however slightly. Let us not be those who say later on: how we were so silent for so long? why did we not do enough? what happened to never again? In the trajectory Israel is answering all of those who said they have to choose that they cannot have the land, be Jewish, and be a democracy. See on the streets at 3 pm today in NYC.
