From Ong Kian Ming: Support rate 70% for Chinese 50% for Indians 28% for Malays 505 GE was: 85, 61, 25 below from Nga khor preliminary analysis for Teluk Intan defeat : - 1. The lowest turn out rate in TI election, drop from 82% to 66.7%, approximately 8000 votes affected, majority outstation voter who incline to support PR. 2. Drop of Chinese vote from 85% to 70%, main reason due to minister trunk card, Hudud issue & voter affected by local development pledge. 3. The increase of Malay votes from 23% to 28% is not enough to cover the deficit. Indian votes manage to score 50% but not enough. 4. Batu 12 new village suffered a massive blow, from winning 550 votes last year & now lost 70 votes, such local scenario play a decisive role to the overall result. This is due to MCA & Gerakan managed to resolve their local dispute. 5. voters in general still unable to overcome racial barrier & vote according to race but not the long term political cause. Lets work hard to recover the loss, we shall overcome. Tq.
