From Onlineathens today: OCONEE COUNTY 5, HART COUNTY 4 (eight innings): At Watkinsville, Connor Ewing hit a two-out single in the bottom of the eighth inning to plate Cole Tate with the game-winning run in Region 8-AAA play. The Warriors were down 4-3 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Noah Mejias hit a double to score pinch runner Champ Bell to put the game into extra innings. Kenny Bailey (3-1) earned the victory, pitching in relief in the eighth inning. Chris Mejias was the starter and went six innings before Bobby Holmes pitched the seventh in relief. Oconee County (10-6, 2-2) will play at 5:55 p.m. today at Morgan County.
