From Pastor Rogers weekly update: Dear Church Members, So many exciting things happening right now its incredible! We currently have over 30 people schedule for baptism and a couple more for coming into membership via Profession of Faith. Wow! My faith has been stretched with this series. Dr. Clouzet is holding the crowd better than anyone Ive ever seen. Its actually amazing, our crowd hasnt diminished since night 4 much, if any. We have baptisms planned for 14 baptisms or Professions of Faith for this weekend. Hope youll plan to come and see these people taking a new stand for Jesus! This week: - No meeting on Monday - but by now, youve probably figured that out - Tuesday - The Coming of Christ and the Rapture - Wednesday - The Role of Israel in the End Times - Friday - The Surprising Nature of Gods Judgment - Sabbath at 10am - The Longest Time Prophecy in the Bible - Sabbath at 11:15 - Wen Time Shall Be No More - Sabbath at 5:30 - Film - The Radicals, followed by one session - The Beauty and the Beast of Revelation Church Financials Church Budget for August - $20,390. Brought in - $19,970. Part of that budget is going in subsidy to the schools we support - MGAES $5,825/Month. CAA - $1,705.38/Month. Some of it goes to support the Community Services Center - $500/Month. Sabbath schools cost us about $2,800/Month. Our Utilities costs us about $1741/Month. Outside of the Budget are Evangelism - which we are still seeking to raise about $3,000 more for. But also our Mortgage Payment - which is $17,939/Month, and last month we brought in $12,360. And I know of one member who turned in more than half of what was turned in last month in a special offering they told me about. Without that special offering, we would have been very short on the Mortgage payment last month. The Church Budget is about more than lights, heat and salaries. Its about so much more than school subsidies. Each of those dollars going to school subsidies represent a child in a Christian Adventist school that needs to be there. The church budget represents the lives of children being changed by the gospel message their Sabbaths school teachers proclaim each week. The church budget represents a new person being discipled and connecting them through a Community Group, through a Sabbath school class, or through some social gathering. The church budget represents the Mission of Reaching Up, Reaching Deep and Reaching Out. Please, can you support the Church Budget, the Worthy Student Fund, The Mortgage and the Evangelism Funds. Please also support them with your prayers as we seek to continue to Reach into the church and into the community. I love being your pastor! Make a Difference!
