From Paul Scannell, one of our members that had an injunction put on him yesterday removing his freedom of assembly and speech by Paul Gilligan (chief status quo maintainer) in what has been described as a Kangaroo court, thankfully there are still some principled men and indeed women in Ireland (Pauls wife Fiona chased security thugs from her home last week).... Yesterday judge Paul Gilligan issued me and others with an injunction, preventing us from attending a planned Boycott of the Irish country music awards at Citywest hotel on Monday 26th jan. the boycott is aimed at highlighting Ktech securitys involvement in Violent evictions and receiverships of family homes , farms and small businesss,( Ktech have the contract for Citywest). This injunction removes my constitutional right to peaceful assembly which is why I refused to give the court an undertaking that I would not attend the boycott. I do not know what the rest of the injunction contained as I walked out of the court in disgust but did here something like , the commercial interests of Ktech securitys director Mr Kevin McGarry over ride our constitutional rights. This should be of great concern to every citizen of this state. Ktech securitys staff are nothing but thugs who behave like a criminal gang. This photo shows Declan Kearney a Ktech employee who has taken part in family home evictions and has assaulted anti-eviction activists. This is the type of person the courts have given protection to, the same type of person as Kevin McGarry and Carl Coyle who came to my home when they knew I was not there to try intimidate my family. They will not intimidate us, they will not deter us from our stated aims of protecting Irish families from eviction. The courts have shown that they are on the side of the banks and thugs they hire to do their dirty work , we are on the side of the people. An Phoblacht abú.
