From Paul Watson: Our River Trip on the Brigitte Bardot. Here is a video covering our recent trip up the river Seine from Honfleur to Paris. The Brigitte Bardot is now berthed on the Left Bank between the Pont Des Invalides and the Eiffel Tour. Yana and I spent a wonderful three days with the dedicated and hard-working crew who hailed from Spain, Italy, France, Australia and Romania. Lamya Essemlali and the Sea Shepherd France volunteers had to cut through multiple layers of bureaucracy to secure our stay in Paris but they prevailed and Paris is very supportive. The Prefecture of police have been very helpful. The Brigitte Bardot Foundation treated the crew to a wonderful dinner at the Café Trocadero and Brigitte Bardot herself is delighted the boat is in the City of Lights. It’s been an intense two years for the Brigitte Bardot. I transferred to the Bardot from the Steve Irwin in March 2013 off the west coast of Tasmania. We weathered a storm going up the east coast and lost an anchor. We then proceeded northward towards Tonga. I stayed on the Brigitte Bardot off Tonga, Samoa, Vanuatu, New Caledonia and the Great Barrier Reef of Australia until September. We then headed North via Hawaii from Tahiti and from there to Los Angeles where I finally was able to leave the ship in early November 2013. Since then the Brigitte Bardot did anti-poaching campaigns in Guatemala, Honduras, Senegal, Cape Verde and Sicily.
