From Police this morning, a man has shot in leg at Armidale: Emergency services were called to Donnelly Street at Armidale just before midnight (Sunday 14 December 2014), where they found a man with a gunshot wound to his left thigh. The 35-year-old was taken to Armidale Hospital; however, he discharged himself a short time later against medical advice. Detectives from New England Local Area Command established a crime scene on Donnelly Street and commenced inquiries. Investigators have been told the injured man had approached a green Ford Falcon that was parked in the street before he was fired upon. Inquiries are continuing and anyone who witnessed the incident, or has information that may assist, is urged to come forward.
