From Principal Richards... We have had a great beginning of the school year!! Interim grades are right around the corner, so please make sure you are talking with your student or checking Progress Book to stay informed. It is much more difficult to bring a grade up than it is to watch it slide down. Academic excellence starts at the beginning of the year!!! We will re-vote in Senior homerooms tomorrow and plan on announcing the court winner on Thursday during Homeroom. Sorry about the inconvenience but I hope that you understand. Student Council- -Attention students interested in tutoring (This could include seniors looking for a senior project): Watkins Memorial High School is continuing its WMHS Peer-Tutoring Program that it started last school year. The first step is to find students who would like to tutor. If you have strong study techniques, are doing well in your classes, and enjoy helping others, then we want your help. Please see Mrs. Miller in the Guidance Office or Mr. White in room 300 during your lunch period for an application. -Student Council meeting Thursday morning at 7:00 am.
