From SWOP: We have our work cut out for the year, dont we? The Bernalillo County Board of Commissioners will be meeting on February 19, 2015 at 1:30 pm for a hearing on the Santolina Master Plan and the zoning change for the plan. SWOP submitted an appeal and includes the Pajarito Village Association and the New Mexico Health Working Group. Also the South Valley Regional Association of Acequias, the South Valley Coalition of Neighborhood Associations, Bernalillo County Place Matters and CESSOS have submitted their own appeals. Each appellant will have 15 minutes at the February 19th meeting. When I submitted SWOPs appeal to the County on December 18th, an attorney for Western Albuquerque Land Holdings was there also submitting an appeal. I assume the conditions that the CPC approved were not favorable to WALH. Last month we decided that our first meeting of the year for the Santolina Working Group will be this Wednesday, January 7th, at 6pm at the SWOP office. 211 10th St. SW. We hope to see you at the meeting. We have to do a lot of outreach and publicity and really turn folks out for the hearing and see what else we can do to defeat the Santolina Master Plan.
