[From Shiva K. Sharma] I have been closely watching the attitude of executive members of Sikkim Football Association (SFA) after I learnt it from His Excellency, the Governor of Sikkim when we met him last year. Though we dont need to introduce who is Shri Bhaichung Bhutia, but what I know is, he is our hard-earned pride in the history of Indian Football. He is not a local, state, national level footballer, but he is an acclaimed footballer at international level. What not Shri Bhaichung can do to our talented football players in Sikkim! Does he need to beg for sponsorships to our players? Definitely not! I dont think sponsor agencies for football dont know him.It is to note here that, in some states of India, millions die to get a glimpse of Shri Bhaichung, but, in his own motherland, he seems to be completely humiliated by his own people. What attitude is this, my fellow Sikkimese people? Here, my question is whats wrong with Shri Bhaichung, if he wants to serve his own state? I am not sure if the Executive Members of SFA are backed by State Government. If it is, then I would appeal my Sikkim Government not to humiliate Shri Bhaichung more in life. Lets not administer slow poison to our own SONS like him, otherwise future History wont forgive us!
