From SkyWarn13: Have you noticed the hazy skies lately? The sun is being filtered by a thick, smoky haze from wild fires burning up in the Northwest Territories of Canada. With the big ridge of high pressure to our west and an area of low pressure to our northeast, the flow aloft in the Midwest has been out of the northwest aloft. Those winds have been bringing down the smoke from Canada. With not much change in the pattern expected, these hazy skies could continue right into next week. The smoky skies are making for some pretty spectacular sunsets though, giving the sun a really nice reddish/orange color.
