From Emily Huffman, Albuquerque -- I am sick of tree huggers. We,”mankind,” have dominion over the land, not the other way around. ------- SylviaBokorComments: You see how ideas work? They can work for good or for bad. The so-called New Energy Economys attempt to by-pass citizens is a prime example of ideas working for bad. Heres the way it works: First, on the national level, Obama repeatedly exercises improper use of the Executive Branch in by-passing Congress authority to legislate. Progressives notice he gets away with it. So, next, on the state level, New Mexicos progressive try to ram through constitutional amendments with proposals that do not rightly belong in a constitution. Now, we see on the city level, New Energy Economy attempting to by-pass proper procedures in order to ram through a plan no one has read. Shades of Pelosi: We have to pass it to see whats in it. A bad idea combined with another bad idea. Do you get the picture? If we allow these bad ideas to continue, the destruction of the branches of government -- a system unique to a Representative Republic -- will follow. If we allow our nation to slide into a dictatorship from which the people are excluded, we allow the wiping out of the rule of law --laws based on the moral principle of individual rights, upon which this nation was founded. Without rights, no individual is free. Without participation in government, no people can be free. ===###===
