From TERI Rennia for Mayor: "Today, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced the Binghamton Police Department would receive a $381, 700 Operation IMPACT Grant to enhance police patrols and increase investigations to target high crime areas. The competitive IMPACT grants are in their tenth year, and the Binghamton Police Department was one of eight to receive an increase over last year. As outlined in my 5-point public safety plan, as mayor, this is an example of the type of grants I will continue to seek. To suggest grants are unreliable is misleading and detrimental to the future of our city’s public safety."
