From The Commercial Appeal: Six new firms picked for BioWorks boot camp The ZeroTo510 program, which offers a three-month boot camp experience for medical device startups, has announced the participants for 2013: AIS Inc., Better Walk, Cuff-Gard, Health and Bliss, Mobilizer, and SurgiLight will participate in a variety of workshops and training sessions at the medical device accelerator housed at Memphis Bioworks Foundation. The aim is to achieve U.S. Food and Drug Administration 501(k) pre-market notification filing. Participating companies each receive $50,000 in seed capital from Memphis co-investors Innovaand MB Venture Partners. Companies must agree to be based in Memphis for the duration of the program.
