From The Wrecking Crew Facebook page: Wishing a happy birthday to Darrell Dash Crofts who was born on this date August 14, 1940 in Cisco Tx. He is best know as part of the duo Seals and Crofts with Jim Seals. After moving to Los Angeles in the late 1950s he along with Jim Seals were part of the touring version of The Champs with Crofts on drums and Seals on saxophone. Other members of that band included Glen Campbell and Jerry Cole on guitar. In 1963, Jimmy Seals, Dash Crofts, Glen Campbell, and Jerry Cole left The Champs to form a band named Glen Campbell and the GCs The duo was formed in 1969. Guitarist Louie Shelton was brought on as their producer when they signed with Warner Bros.in 1971. He played on and produced the albums Year of Sunday, 1971, Summer Breeze 1972, Diamond Girl 1973.
