From Tom: Apparently it has been out since January in English but I am just getting back and caught up, so I wanted to let everyone know about the Stecco’s new book: Luigi and Carla Stecco from Padua have written an amazingly complex book called Fascial Manipulation for Internal Dysfunctions, published by Piccin. It would be enough to have photos of their amazingly meticulous dissections, which are here aplenty, but the Stecco’s have attempted something far more ambitious. They have made connections between fascial planes and internal organs, based on evolution and embryology, and organized the book around the ‘organ-fascial units’. This amazingly thorough book - it goes through every system and every area of the body at a startling level of specificity - should be on the desk of every osteopath, visceral manipulator, and any therapist who wants to know what’s happening when they are touching the fascia.
