From: Unit Commander To: Cross Roads Young Marines Subject: Muster at the kids zone tomorrow July 5 at 0800 in the Big Spring park. For those of you in town we will be starting our Compass orientation class tomorrow! You wont want to miss it! Uniform of the Day: PT gear and covers. What to bring: Lensatic Compass if you have one, water and a lunch. If you dont have a compass I have several you can borrow one of mine. DO bring your guide books and Mr. Hamon and I will be checking off your objectives while we picnic in the part tomorrow! This is a work up to our camp out week end. By that time we will have navigation course laid out to see who can find their way back to base camp as well as radio/telephone procedures. Happy 238th Birthday to America!!! I hope everyone got to watch the fire works last night in the park! You all did a super job at the Funtastic Fourth last week end and we will be conducting try outs for Color Guard soon so if you think you can qualify and march like a Marine let Mr. Harmon or me know and we will see if you can.
