The pre-life intention of having the encounter may be bruised by some of that baggage. It takes both energies to participate together, so if one is distracted, it can leave the other feeling helpless to resolve the conflict between them. You can choose to abdicate further intersection until the individual has cleared the energy around them. Of course, it is difficult while still in the linear to be able to do this. Know that there will be a conversation in-between lives where new plans can be made to enact in the next life. Often it is necessary for one or both parties to incarnate on their own for awhile.
